A growing farming business based in Mallowa, New South Wales, is looking for a reliable and motivated farm and property all-rounder to join its team.

This is a varied, hands-on position combining property maintenance, caretaking, light administration and general farm support. There will also be occasional work in Hebel, Queensland, and Walgett, NSW.

The position is initially casual, with the potential for permanent or sponsored employment for a suitable applicant.

The business is looking for someone interested in a longer-term opportunity, with a minimum commitment of approximately 3–6 months.

The role

Your main responsibilities will include:

✅ Property and garden maintenance – Watering, ride-on mowing, whipper-snipping, weeding, hedging, mulching and general grounds upkeep

✅ Pool maintenance – Keeping the pool and surrounding areas clean and well maintained

✅ Accommodation cleaning – Cleaning and maintaining accommodation and other properties

✅ Animal care – Helping care for animals, particularly dogs, so a genuine love of animals is important

✅ Administration and bookkeeping – Assisting with general administration and basic bookkeeping. All experience levels are welcome, including applicants with accounting backgrounds

✅ Caretaking – General property oversight and caretaking responsibilities when required

✅ Harvest support – Helping with meal preparation and delivery during the busy harvest period

Additional work opportunities

Depending on your skills, experience and the season, there may also be opportunities to assist with:

✅ General farm work and harvest operations
✅ Farm machinery operation
✅ Handyman and maintenance tasks
✅ Fencing and property repairs
✅ Truck driving, where appropriately licensed
✅ Other practical jobs around the farm

Training can be provided where required, although your primary responsibilities will remain property maintenance, caretaking, administration and general support.

A current manual driver's licence is essential.

Previous experience in property maintenance, farming, caretaking, gardening or administration would be highly regarded. However, applicants with a positive attitude, practical skills and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
